PDF Chemistry from SyncroSoft (Fri, 02 Nov 2018)

PDF Chemistry is a new product from SyncroSoft (the makers of Oxygen XML Editor) which allows you to obtain PDF output from HTML or XML documents simply by styling them with CSS. It is a CSS Paged Media processor based on the open-source Apache FOP XSL-FO engine. Its main purpose is to provide you with a simple tool that allows you to leverage your CSS knowledge to create printable deliverables. It is particularly useful for generating technical documentation.

ASTC Conference: Gold Coast - 12 to 13 October (Fri, 02 Nov 2018)

One of the joys of being a technical communicator is that we never have the chance to get bored or become complacent about our knowledge. In our role, change is a constant. The ASTC annual conference offers a unique opportunity to keep up with those changes. The conference provides us with a quick and cost effective way to learn the latest techniques, terminology, tools and other relevant information. The venue is Novotel Surfers Paradise on Queensland's Gold Coast, from Friday 12 to Saturday 13 October. Registration for both days is $640 for ASTC members, $760 for non-members, or $310 for students.

MadWorld Europe 2018 (Fri, 02 Nov 2018)

The first annual MadWorld Europe conference kicks off in Prague, Czechia, from 11 to 14 September 2018. The conference features industry thought leaders such as Germán Basterra, Matthew Ellison, and Michael Fritz from leading organizations Nestlé GLOBE, UA Europe, and TEKOM Europe. In addition, MadWorld Europe has three nightly networking events, a Technical Support Lounge for one-on-one technical support, and a full-day advanced workshop following the main conference.
